The Crystal City Pentagon Rotary Club is excited to announce our 15th Annual Golf Classic fundraising tournament. This fun and challenging event will be held at the Fort Belvoir Golf Course, located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, on Friday, September 30, 2011. Players will enjoy a great day of golf, food, and fun while competing to win bragging rights and some great prizes!

Within our local and global community, many diverse individuals and groups have benefited from the financial support of the Crystal City Pentagon Rotary Club. Our group of thirty-one dedicated members support a wide variety of causes with both their time and their checkbooks. In our effort to continue these efforts, including support of our focus tournament project, Wounded Warriors, we are holding the 15th Annual Golf Tournament.

For the past fourteen years, the Crystal City Pentagon Rotary Club has raised the majority of its funding each year’s charitable projects by hosting our annual golf tournament. Funds raised during this event have provided our club with monies that in the last year supported local Gunston Middle School students in activities as varied as a science fair and an essay scholarship contest on the four tenants of Rotary: “Is it the Truth?; Is it Fair to all concerned?; Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?; and Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?”. Our club impacts the global community as well. We have championed Solar Lights for Africa, a solar electrification project targeted at remote areas, and Polio Plus, a Rotary administered global polio eradication program.
